Our day-to-day learning approach

At Ridgehaven ELC, learning happens through everyday moments – mealtimes, outdoor play, storytime, art and rest. Our educators plan experiences guided by the EYLF, then follow each child’s own interests and curiosity.

Baby Room

Our Baby room is a calm, nurturing space where educators build strong, trusting relationships with every child. We focus on sensory exploration, communication and routine, following each baby’s own sleep and feeding patterns and working closely with families to keep home and centre in sync.

Toddler Room

As children grow into toddlers, our program builds independence, language and social skills, through hands-on play, creative expression and plenty of outdoor time. Educators support toilet learning, sharing and communication with patience and consistency.

Kinder Room

Our Kinder room extends children’s thinking through more structured learning experiences – pre-literacy and pre-numeracy activities, group projects, community visits and specialist programs – alongside dedicated school readiness preparation.

Meet Some of Our Educators

At Ridgehaven ELC, our team is experienced, qualified and passionate about early childhood education. Some of our educators have been with the centre for 20+ years, giving children and families rare continuity of care.

Our educators work together to create a warm, welcoming environment where every child can grow, learn, create, explore and play.

At Ridgehaven ELC we believe that all children are unique with their own interests, beliefs and strengths.
